For a while I was wondering whether I should do away with the “Celebrity Street Style” feature because I haven’t been discovering outfits by Asian celebrities I’m liking consistently — and by consistently, I really mean on a weekly basis as this was originally a feature planned for every Friday. If I’m not wrong, it’s been at least a month since the last one in its series. This week, however, I’m proud to bring it back with a few outfits I’ve been loving and that I’ve found over the course of the month!
Since Anjaylia Chan’s series Blue Veins has been on the air, I also couldn’t stay away from her perfectly curated Instagram page. This week’s Hong Kong Celebrity Street Style also features Joey Yung and Eliza Sam who has both been an AF favorite and also brings something to the table, fashion-wise.
Anjaylia Chan’s Off-the-Shoulder Midi Dress
Somewhere between the mini and maxi length is something called the “midi length” and I’ve written a full article on how to wear a skirt of this length a few weeks ago. The beauty of Anjaylia’s dress therein lies that it encompasses two of my favorite trends of the season: the midi length and the off-the-shoulder cut. The combination of a classy and feminine length with a sexy shoulder touch (and collarbone reveal) embodies how a woman should act. She topped off her dress with silver strappy heels that never goes out of style with her unusual shoulder length hair that’s somewhere between tomboy and feminine. If I had to use one word to describe her style, it would be practically-chic.

Joey Yung’s Bell-Sleeve Peasant Blouse
I love it when HK celebrities become more experimental with western trends and lately it’s these types of outfits that resonates most with my spring and summer moods. Joey appeared in an SoCal inspired bohemian getup which includes our all-time favorite western suede block ankle booties, denim cutoffs paired with an ultra-loose eyelet bell-sleeve blouse. The wide-brimmed sleeves definitely make a statement for itself and is the perfect feminine touch to contrast to the masculine denim. For a boho look, it’s always okay to have hair that appears where “you just woke up like this.”

Eliza Sam’s Suede Strappy Heels
It doesn’t take a lot to appear fashionable if you are charismatic like Eliza. On this day, she sparked up a very classic outfit that consisted of a faded blue button-down chambray shirt with dark-washed skinny jeans with trendy red strappy suede pointy heels.
Remember, the next time your outfit becomes too standard, amplify it with a red or anything pointy for an added sassy attitude!
